Dark Skies, a Montana-based bird hunting and fishing lodge, needed a bold and moody logo that captured the essence of early morning hunting and fishing. The design had to be versatile for use on their website, embroidered apparel, and print materials.
Inspired by Montana’s landscapes, I focused on bird silhouettes, moon symbolism, and dawn light. The final design features a duck and pheasant flying over a marsh, with hunting dogs looking on. Deep and light blues reflect the early morning ambiance, complemented by rugged yet sophisticated typography.
The resulting logo stands out on digital platforms, translates well into embroidered apparel, and maintains clarity on business cards, brochures, and signage.
The Dark Skies Lodge logo successfully encapsulates the spirit of adventure and tranquility found in Montana’s hunting and fishing experiences. It is a testament to the lodge’s commitment to providing memorable outdoor adventures, beautifully represented through a carefully crafted visual identity.
